un giro di boa epocale?
Lecture by Piergiorgio Branzi, December 6 2007.
Lecture held at the Pinacoteca of the Museo Provinciale Sigismondo Castromediano, Lecce.
In this lecture, distinguished photographer Piergiorgio Branzi (1928-2022), one of the main initiator of the Italian photographic history recalls his early beginnings by commenting on a selection of his works including some less known images; he also analyses some of his old analogical pictures which he had recently reprinted thanks to digital technology and offers cogent insights and theoretical hints on this epocal change in the photographic printing process.
His narration provides us with a document of foundational importance for history of Italian photography and testifies of the florentine photographer’s subtle and brisky wit.
